SCIENCE IN A TECHNICAL WORLD ©2000 is an interdisciplinary unit-based
(small book) curriculum for grades 9 through 12, developed by the
Education Division of the American Chemical Society, with support
from the National Science Foundation.
Units can be used as
the primary material for a tech prep course, or as a supplement
to a standard basal chemistry, biology, earth science, or physics
textbook.
Curricula can be tailored
to meet a variety of student and teacher needs.
Students investigate
a wide range of problems faced by science technicians in a typical
work day.
The program utilizes
an active learning approach that requires students to integrate
knowledge and skills.
