  Welcome to the Preliminary Precalculus Web site. In the COMAP tradition, contemporary applications and mathematical modeling are presented in novel ways to help teach and motivate students. Throughout the text, students explore a number of essential concepts and develop important modeling, data analysis, and problem solving skills necessary to prepare them for the future.

The site has been developed as a free resource to students and instructors using the Precalculus. Instructors should go to the News & Notes column on the left and click on "For Instructors" to access the Instructor's side of this site. The student side contains a variety of electronic learning tools designed to increase students' understanding of our textbook. The site has been developed for you. If you have any comments or suggestions, please let us know my clicking on "Contact us" at the bottom of this page. Resources are organized by textbook chapter as well as by content type. To access resources, please select a Chapter or a Category below. Please note that some resources are not yet available. These resources will become available January, 2002.
