An excellent site with extensive links relating to terrestrial biogeography, including a Biome Map (map of the world divided into nine biome types); Ecological Regions of North America (a clickable map of the continent divided into 15 ecological regions); Ecoregions of the World (definitions of ecosystem, biome, landscape, and more, along with online resources); World Forest Map (an online atlas of world forests and their status, from the World Wildlife Fund); and Global Biodiversity (a large map showing the number of species per 10,000 square kilometers).
