Detailed examples cover a range of interesting topics, including studies in smartphone market share, CO2 emissions, and high school graduation rates. Special “4-Step” Examples are highlighted by icons in the margins. The four steps (State, Plan, Solve, Conclude) provide a strong scaffolding for student problem solving.
