Course Resources. BioPortal makes it easy for instructors to access pre-loaded animations, activities, quizzes, premium PowerPoint lecture slides, lecture outlines, and more—all organized by resource type or by chapter. Plus, instructors can upload and incorporate their own resources.
Prep-U. Coming Spring 2012, the Prep-U adaptive quizzing system will be fully integrated into the BioPortal, allowing instructors to assign Prep-U practice quizzes and track students' performance through the BioPortal interface.
Assignment Center. BioPortal makes it easy to add and deploy assignments for eBook readings, online activities, diagnostic quizzes, and custom assignments through its Assignment Center interface.
Gradebook. Track students' grades for online assignments while also maintaining a course roster and attendance records, all in one convenient place. What's more, the Gradebook makes it easy to view, sort, and calculate grades as well as import/export grades from/to other spreadsheet applications.
Virtual Class Interaction. Post announcements, create blog entries, and easily launch and monitor discussion forums, all within the BioPortal.
