For this edition, David Moore is joined by Bill Notz, also the co-author on Moore’s Statistics Concepts and Controversies, and Mike Fligner. The new authors have focused primarily on revising and refreshing the text examples and exercises.

Reorganized Coverage of Inference (Chapters 14-16)
Returning to the placement of the 4th edition, the Inference chapters have been organized in three chapters. Separating Confidence Intervals and Hypothesis Testing into separate chapters makes it easier for students to focus on the basics of each topic before discussing how they are used in practice.
